What is the Difference?
Our educators that work with your children make this progam what it is. As an owner, I am so grateful for the hardworking, consistent, loving and unparalled educators at our program. Everyone works together to ensure every child is getting their needs met and getting the attention they need every day. Connecting to the children with love, understanding and positive attention is the best way to support their developmental growth. That is done by the people that interact with your child everyday. They are long term, educated and commited.
The people are the difference.
Other important considerations when chosing a centre include, low ratios, specialized early childhood curriculum, and community program links. (We are local- I live in the community and work at the centre.)
Educated and Long Term Staff
Your child will be with Educators who specialize in Early Childhood Learning and Child Care. A number of our staff have Bachelor’s Degrees in a range from Education, Arts, Psychology and more. All Educators working with infants and toddlers are certified at the highest levels, as Child Develeopment Supervisors. We exceed regulations and uphold a minimum requirement for all educators to participate in continuing education annually. We are passionate about learning and it shows.
Quality Program
We have been recognized in excellence for a higher level of quality programming, staff qualifications and policy development by the Accreditation of Early Learning and Childcare Services. We were voted Calgary’s Favorite Daycare for 2019 in Metro News Community Choice Awards.
Low Ratios
We have many educators available to provide the optimal care for your child. Our team is supported by two educated, experienced Directors, a Developmental Assistant and additional support staff. Our classroom sizes are smaller, which means your child gets more one on one attention.
Specialized Early Childhood Curriculum
We follow the Early Learning and Child Care Curriculum framework for Alberta, with influence from the Reggio, Learning through Play and Emergent Curriculum Models. We are constantly learning about new models of curriculum and are applying what we learn to ensure your child receives the best education possible.
Local Business with Community Links
We have community connections going back over 30 years. We are proud to work with programs such as Supported Childcare, The Alberta Children’s Hospital, Providence Childcare, The Calgary Public Library and many more. We invite family members (grandparents, aunts, special vistors) to come join us to read to the children in our Reading Buddies program.
Located in Thorncliffe, NW Calgary near North Haven, Beddington, Huntington Hills and Highland Park with easy access off Deerfoot and 64th Ave our family has been providing children with quality care for 40 years, and two generations.
