Daycare Checklists

We want the transition from home to daycare to be as smooth as possible.

Parents may have a lot of feelings about their little ones entering a new environment with new people, but transitions and preparations will make it easier. We feel spending time at the program is important step in making the transition smoother.

We involve both parents and children in the transition process. We want everyone to feel comfortable and knowledgeable about the child’s care. Encouraging parents to visit the daycare and become familiar with the new environment can help build trusting relationships with the teachers for both parent and child. When children transition to daycare, having a routine or type of special goodbye that is consistent can help make the process easier. We ask parents to bring family photos to post in the class as we want the child to have a sense of belonging in the class. We hope to create a safe, home-like environment for the children at EduCentre. We look forward to spending time with you during this transition.
